Vietnamese Pharma Marketplace Bags US$500K Funding to Expand in SEA

Vietnamese pharma distribution marketplace has raised US$500,000 in seed financing co-anchored by homegrown venture capital firm VietCapital Ventures and Singapore-based Cocoon Capital, according to an announcement.

BuyMed, the Vietnamese startup behind the Vietnamese marketplace, said the funding will propel’s goal of revolutionising pharma distribution in Southeast Asia, where the pharmaceutical market is estimated to reach US$8 billion by 2020.

Founded in 2018, connects healthcare practices with a number of verified, licensed distributors, allowing a seamless matching of orders and end-to-end delivery. It also features real-time pricing and detailed information on active ingredients in various products.
