Chaehyun Lee, CEO and Co-Founder of Dable Inc., recently received a Presidential Citation from the Ministry of Science and ICT at the “21st Software Industry Day Awards Ceremony” for his contributions to Korea’s software industry development and pioneering overseas markets. The Ministry of Science and ICT grants awards to promote the software industry and encourage correspondents each year.
Chaehyun Lee, with 12 years of expertise in the IT industry, has taken the lead in commercializing and globalizing software technology. He began his career in 2007 as a research intern at NASA Ames Research Center Education. He participated in developing the next-generation browser at LG Uplus in 2008, and search engine crawler robots at Naver Corp in 2010. He has developed South Korea’s first ever personalized product recommendation platform through big data processing, recommendation algorithms, and machine learning technology while working as the head of the RecoPick team at SK Planet in 2011. He established the joint venture Dable, the paramount content discovery platform, in 2015.
Dable is a tech-based startup with world-class big data processing and personalized technology. It recommends high quality personalized contents to 2,500 global media, commerce, and content distributors who have partnered with Dable. Dable recommends 5 billion contents to 500 million users per month, and results in 100 million clicks per month through Dable’s platform.
Dable possesses various technologies to recommend contents efficiently and reliably. Dable owns a big data platform designed as a scalable system that is responsive to traffic. It also owns a content analyzer that extracts major content features through natural language processing and machine learning technology and a personalization platform that estimates users’ interests based on their behavior log and recommends content accordingly. It has a Fraud Detection System (FDS) that detects malicious clicks by bots or users, as well as a widget A/B test platform that automatically finds optimized UI in media’s PC and mobile.
Dable entered the overseas market in 2017 and it currently services Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Dable leads the Asian content discovery market, and has become the most utilized personalized recommendation platform in Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam. In Taiwan, the monthly sales exceeded KRW500 million two years after entering the market. Dable is growing rapidly generating about 30% of its total sales overseas.
